Simon grew up in a small village. His mother and father owned the only Inn/Tavern in town. He ;earned to cook food from his mother and learned to play the Lute from his father. Whenever he was cleaning tables he would always pause just so he could listen to adventurers telling their tales. His older sister would always scold him for slacking and his mother would constantly warn him of the dangers of being a adventurer. His father on the other hand being a retired adventurer thought that the danger was the best part of adventuring.
- One night when he was 10 his father changed. Sometimes he would just disappear for days on end worrying his wife to death. Simon didn’t see this as very weird what he saw as weird was the little things that would change about his father like the fact that he never seemed to eat and never claimed to be hungry. One of the new and interesting things about his father was the new story’s he would tell. At the end of every story his father would give him a warning to never walk through the graveyard alone after nightfall. His father continued this disappearing act for a good 3 years
